How to serve Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken Gnocchi Soup

I like to serve this creamy soup with either a baguette, a loaf of crusty bread for dipping, or homemade Red Lobster Biscuits.

Excellent garnishes for this soup:

  • Grated or shredded parmesan cheese
  • Red pepper flakes if you like a little heat
  • A little chopped parsley for freshness

How to store leftovers?

Once the soup has cooled, refrigerate it in an air-tight container and use within 3-4 days.

Because of the dairy in this soup, the texture may change, and the soup may separate if you freeze it.

Can I replace the kale?

I prefer kale because of its hearty texture in recipes.  It doesn’t break down and completely wilt, however, you can substitute the kale with fresh spinach if desired.

NOTES:

  • I used curly kale in these photos, but lacinato kale, aka dinosaur kale or Italian/Tuscan kale, would work great too.

This recipe was fantastic and so easy to make. I took your advice and served it with some of my cheddar bay biscuits. They were a match made in heaven. Thanks for sharing :)
