If you love pickles and dill, you are going to LOVE this Dill Pickle Dip!

Pickles are my love language.  I add them to everything – sandwiches, burgers, cheese platters, tuna salad, Cuban Breakfast Sandwiches, and of course, I snack on them right out of the jar!

I’ve been having fun experimenting with pickle recipes (pickle pizza, anyone?) and this pickle dip is definitely one of my favorites!

It’s cold & creamy, while also tangy from the pickles and herby from the dill.

This dip is incredibly flavorful, and any pickle fan is going to love it.

Ingredients needed for this recipe (scroll down to recipe card for complete recipe):

  • Sour cream
  • Mayo
  • Dill pickles (storebought or homemade)
  • Pickle juice
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Dried dill
  • Black pepper

A lot of pickle dips are made with cream cheese, but I like this recipe because the sour cream and mayo balance all the ingredients really well.

Plus, it’s the perfect texture for dipping!

How to make Dill Pickle Dip

  1. This dip is so easy to make, all you do is add everything to a mixing bowl and let it refrigerate for about an hour.
  2. I like to add some chopped pickles on top of the dip for garnish.  That’s it!

How to serve Dill Pickle Dip

I think chopped pickles make a fun garnish.  It tells everyone what kind of delicious dip it is!

This pickle dip is great for entertaining!  You can serve it with tasty dippers like these:

  • Potato Chips
  • Pita chips
  • Crackers
  • Tortilla chips
  • Carrot or celery sticks
  • Pretzel chips

Besides being served as a dip, you could also use it on burgers, top baked potatoes, and add it to wraps or sandwiches.

Can I replace dried dill with fresh dill?

Yes!  I like to use dried dill because I always have it on hand, but you can replace the dried with fresh.

The general rule of thumb is 1 teaspoon of dried herbs = 1 tablespoon (or 3 teaspoons) of fresh herbs.

How to store pickle dip?

Prepared pickle dip can be stored in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to 3-4 days.
